With the UK being an Island our various ports situated around the coast are a major part of both our history and also our business; with thousands of boats entering and leaving our ports everyday a huge amount of cargo is shipped in and out of the UK through them.
The South West Port Authority covers all the ports from the Isles of Scilly through Devon and Cornwall and through the various counties to Bristol and Portsmouth. The Association evolved from what was formerly a Devon & Cornwall network group and is in response to requests from regional & local government agencies to provide a single point of contact for ports in the South West Region.
Insignia Creative were asked to produce a website to cover all of these ports and provide the viewer with information on each one of the sites throughout the South West. As well as providing up to date information about the ports themselves the site was required to carry up to date information on news and events happening throughout the region that related to these ports.
We have created a site that encompasses all of these areas along with a content management system that allows SWRPA to update all of the site information themselves. This enables the authority to be able to keep ontop of latest news and events and immediately tell the web about them.
All of the port listings are very comprehensive and searchable by their particular speciality; be it cargo, agriculture, leisure etc.
Along with the launch of the new site we also updated the SWRPA logo to bring it more up to date and give the whole organisation a fresh new feel.
